Commit 6480af4915d6 ("power_supply: wm97xx_battery: use power_supply_get_drvdata") made wm97xx platform data mandatory, although it's still optional. The conversion to the new hotplug state machine introduced a regression where a successful hotplug registration would be treated as an error, effectively disabling the MSI driver forever. Fix it by doing the proper check on the return value.
