2018-12-10AUTHORS: auto-generate from commit logTobias Klauser1-3/+0
I tend to forget to update the AUTHORS file with new contributors. Let's automate it and extract the contributors from the commit log. Manually mention people how have contributed in other ways (bug reports, documentation etc.) or how had commits in the previousl, no longer existing repository. Script based on https://github.com/cilium/cilium/blob/master/contrib/scripts/extract_authors.sh Signed-off-by: Tobias Klauser <tklauser@distanz.ch>

2014-09-03build: Add continuous integration support via travis-ciTobias Klauser1-0/+1
This allows any libnl github repo to link to travis-ci which will result in new commits and pull requests to be automatically built with both gcc and clang. Any build failures including the addition of warnings are reported to the author and committer. Following Thomas Graf's suggestion: https://plus.google.com/103961622207897185587/posts/GaVC6jwcMgp Signed-off-by: Tobias Klauser <tklauser@distanz.ch>
2013-07-12gitignore: add config.log file to git ignoreDaniel Borkmann1-0/+1
Ignore the config.log file in Git as this is automatically generated. Signed-off-by: Daniel Borkmann <dborkman@redhat.com>
2013-07-09configure: let configure script generate config.h fileDaniel Borkmann1-0/+1
While we're at it, also let configure script generate the config.h file. The generation of it is currently quite static, but that could change in future. While at it, we also generate a GITVERSION define, that we will use for ``--version'' output of the individual tools for being able to provide better support since we can see what concrete commit people are using when building from Git repo. 2013-06-24gitignore: Ignore generated ConfigTobias Klauser1-0/+3
Ignore the build config generated by the configure script. Signed-off-by: Tobias Klauser <tklauser@distanz.ch>
2013-05-21misc: Ignore files generated by cscope/ctagsTobias Klauser1-0/+4
Add the index files generated by cscope and ctags to .gitignore. Signed-off-by: Tobias Klauser <tklauser@distanz.ch>
2013-05-05misc: move file to source rootDaniel Borkmann1-1/+1
Only have Makefile specific folders in the project root where the binaries are stored, the rest should be part of the repository root. Signed-off-by: Daniel Borkmann <dborkman@redhat.com>
2013-03-15build: add make release targetDaniel Borkmann1-0/+3
It is useful to have as much as possible scripted, to be less error-prone and to have a uniform and simple workflow. Therefore, make the tagging, tarball and mail message in a uniform way. Signed-off-by: Daniel Borkmann <dborkman@redhat.com>
2013-03-15all: import netsniff-ng 0.5.8-rc0 sourceDaniel Borkmann1-0/+42
We decided to get rid of the old Git history and start a new one for several reasons: *) Allow / enforce only high-quality commits (which was not the case for many commits in the history), have a policy that is more close to the one from the Linux kernel. With high quality commits, we mean code that is logically split into commits and commit messages that are signed-off and have a proper subject and message body. We do not allow automatic Github merges anymore, since they are total bullshit. However, we will either cherry-pick your patches or pull them manually. *) The old archive was about ~27MB for no particular good reason. This basically derived from the bad decision that also some PDF files where stored there. From this moment onwards, no binary objects are allowed to be stored in this repository anymore. The old archive is not wiped away from the Internet. You will still be able to find it, e.g. on git.cryptoism.org etc. Signed-off-by: Daniel Borkmann <dborkman@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Tobias Klauser <tklauser@distanz.ch>
