</h3>       raise - send a signal.

<h3>SYNOPSIS
</h3>       #include &lt;signal.h&gt;

       int raise (int sig);

<h3>DESCRIPTION
</h3>       raise()  sends  a  signal  to  the current process.  It is
       equivalent to kill(getpid(),sig)

<h3>RETURN VALUE
</h3>       Zero for success, nonzero for failure.
